this week
Tony Gasborro

This week, Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club will host Tony Gasborro, Founder of the Project Salvador Scholarship Program.

The mission of Project Salvador is to aid the people of El Salvador in implementing their own vision of justice. We express our solidarity and deepen our relationship with  El Salvador by creating awareness in the United States of the plight of the marginalized in Central America and by supporting grassroots community development through funding of projects in El Salvador.

Join us as we welcome Tony and hear about the work of Project Salvador.

September: Basic education & literacy month
September is Rotary International's Basic Education & Literacy Month.

More than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. That’s 17 percent of the world’s adult population. Rotary's goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. We support education for all children and literacy for children and adults.
