Rotary believes in helping to foster the next generation of leaders. Our programs help younger leaders build leadership skills, expand education, and learn the value of service.
Youth-centered Rotary projects like Rotaract, Interact, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), and Youth Exchange are programs doing just that locally, nationally, and around the world.
From President-Elect Jason Marvel has requested that all members of Wasilla Sunrise Rotary take the club survey in preparation for the upcoming year. Find the link below.
From President-Elect Jason Marvel: "The Roses for Rotary fundraiser was a huge success! Our goal was to sell 500 dozen roses and we ended up selling 505. The extra five were given to us by the florist. Shout out to every Rotarian who sold roses. The money goes directly towards Youth Exchange and, as a former parent of a Youth Exchange student, helps to shape and empower young people in a positive way."
Rotaract project: assistance dogs for finals week
Tasha Talvi and founder of Alaska Assistance Dogs greeted students during finals week at Mat-Su College. Tasha said, "The founder of the Alaska Assistance Dogs was able to talk about service dogs and I was able to talk to some students about joining Rotaract."
Congratulations, Rotaract, on a successful project!
