Mark Daniel Maloney, RI President for 2019-2020, announced his Rotary year theme at the annual Rotary training in San Diego - Rotary Connects the World.
A member of the Rotary Club of Decatur, Alabama, Maloney encouraged leaders to embrace innovative membership models and expand community connections. Most importantly, he feels that connection is at the heart of the Rotary experience:
(Rotary) allows us to connect with each other, in deep and meaningful ways, across our differences...It connects us to people we would never otherwise have met, who are more like us than we ever could have known. It connects us to our communities, to professional opportunities, and to the people who need our help.

At last week's meeting, Dr. Jackie Johnson and the WHS drum line joined us for our morning meeting. They gave a great performance and presentation about their program. Great things are happening with our students in the Mat-Su!
Farewell to Arnaud
After a fantastic Rotary Youth Exchange, Arnaud Bollen headed home to Belgium. We will miss you, Arnaud, thank you for a great year!
