MAT+SAR Search & Rescue is a non profit, 501(c)3 corporation that was started in 2003. MAT+SAR serves the entire Matanuska Susitna Valley, in South Central Alaska and other locations throughout the State as directed by the Alaska State Troopers.

When Alaskans get hurt or lost in the high country, Alaska Mountain Rescue has the volunteers and professionals ready to endure tough circumstances for search and rescue.
Last week Dean joined us to share about the search and rescue process and the work of Alaska Mountain Rescue.
