Dear Rotary District Governor Bill Hopper: Please know that the new Interact Club in the Valley had a successful charter night last Friday evening (Nov. 20th) at Wasilla HS.

President of the the Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club, Carol Kane, provided a wonderful keynote speech. She referred to the importance of volunteerism among the youth of Alaska. Carol, past HS principal and assistant superintendent of schools, is quite knowledgeable as to the trends of Alaska's youth. Her comments were extremely well received by the members of the Interact Club and other Rotarians in attendance. The Interact Club is currently planning their next service project - holiday party for all international exchange students. The following are pictures of the new Interact Club of the Mat-Su Valley, President Carol Kane offering her keynote and a great photo of Carol and Interact Club president, Carly Colligan holding the new charter certificate from Rotary International. Report is respectfully submitted by Dan
